well i was just going to post a bunch of pics of my tamale making when i looked down on the keyboard to find a note from my hubby... sniff sniff, yeah i teared up. he called me earlier (i had forgotten to call him back (we were in the middle of an injury "crisis") and he said he decided to come home early.. he was laready in the driveway. :)
ok so here are my pictures now (for those who have never seen tamales made before)
1. make the masa 2. cook and flavor the meat
3. soak the corn husks 4. spread the masa onto the husks

5. fill with meat 6. roll it up

7. fold the end 8. stack em up

9. stick them in a pot and steam them.

mmm they look good. I haven't had sweet ones since I was in Mexico City. They are so good with a hot cup of atole. mmm
looks delicious; I would like to try one :)
